SCIENTIFIC ABSTRACT SUBMISSION
Deadline for submission of scientific abstracts: 29 October 2011
Notification of acceptance of abstracts: 11 November 2011
High quality scientific free presentations in the form of posters are invited from participants in all aspects of Helicobacter pylori infection. Accepted posters will be published in a supplement of THE JOURNAL OF GASTROENTEROLOGY AND HEPATOLOGY.
Selected posters will be chosen by the scientific committee for a formal poster rounds. Prizes of USD 500.00 each will be awarded for the best three posters.
Abstract Submission Guidelines
- Only abstracts received before the deadline and accompanied by appropriate registration fees will be considered.
- Abstracts must be in English.
- The length of each abstract should not be more than 400 words and must be submitted in the template provided (available for download at the bottom of this page).
- The title (in bold full capitals) should be concise yet bear sufficient details to identify the nature of the study.
- The name of the main author should be underlined. Institution from which the work originated, city and country should be included. Omit degrees and institutional appointments.
- The body of the abstracts should be organised in the following sequence: Objective(s), Methodology (if pertinent), Results (graphs are permitted), Discussion and
Conclusion(s). Abstracts which do not include Results and Conclusion(s) will be
rejected. Abbreviations, if used, must be included in full at some point in the text.
Abbreviate measurements (mm, kcal) as recommended in the Style Manual of Biological Sciences and System International (S.I.) units should be used.
- Drugs should be given in generic terms (in small letters) at first mention in the text, to be followed by the proprietary name (capitalised) if desired.
- Abstracts should be saved in Word document format (*.doc) and may not exceed 1mb in filesize. We will be unable to accept the docx format.

You should save this number for reference and communication purposes.
Kindly note that all authors (except for Invited Speakers, Council Members and Advisory
Board Members) would have to register for the conference.
